Even though I am not a graduate of the class of 1961 ('63), I would like to say that Mr. Westbrook was a sweet and joyful man.   He taught me piano lessons (privately)  as an elementary student and was my choir/music teacher at N.H.S. as well.  I visited with two of his adult children at his brother's (B.F. Westbrook) funeral in Natchitoches just a few months before Douglas died.  They told me that their dad was just "worn out" and old but that their mother (Dinky) was doing great.    He was not physically able to attend his brother's funeral but had been brought up to Natchitoches the week before his brother died to see him in the hospital.  Anyway,  I will always have wonderful memories of Mr. Westbrook.  He had a beautiful voice and would often sing "specials" at church as well as play the piano.  He was a great pianist.  Mr. Westbrook was one of the kindest teachers who ever taught at Natchitoches High. By the way, this is  NOT B-Vo writing this---This is her cousin, Marsha Whitford, submitting this memory.  Thought I better clarify.
