Anna is buried in the Couley Double Church Cemetery off the south side of U.S. 84 in Winn Parish, west of Winnfield.

Anna Colene Tarpley

(November 14, 1943 - October 13, 2007)

Mrs. Anna Colene (Rowell) Tarpley, age 63, of Winnfield, LA. passed away Saturday, October 13, at the Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, LA.  She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.

She was the daughter of the late Travis Rowell and the late Melva (Kelly) Rowell.

She is survived by her two daughters, Bonita Rowell of Natchitoches, LA. and DeAnna Griffith of Tyler, Texas.  Two sons, Dennis E. Cheek, Jr. of Henderson, Teas and Derick S. Cheek of Pineville, LA.  Three step-daughters, Faye Louviere of St. Martinville, La., Jeannie Watkins of Hammond, LA and Paula Stiles of Natchez, Miss.  One step-son, Buddy Tarpley of Lafayette, La; one sister, LaNae Wiger of Florida.  Twelve grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Services are under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield, LA, where the family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM Tuesday, October 16, 2007.  Graveside services will be held at Couley Double Church Cemetery at 1:00 PM Wednesday, October 17, 2007, with Bro. Leland Davison officiating.
