Funeral service for Virginia 'Ginger' Longlois LeVasseur will be held 2 PM Wednesday, March 9, 2011 in The Minor Basilica of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Rev. Irion St. Romain officiating. Burial will be in Memory Lawn Cemetery at Natchitoches, La. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 8, 2011 from 5 PM until 9 PM with a Rosary Service at 7 PM and visitation on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 from 8 AM until 1 PM in the Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. Mrs. LeVasseur, 68, of Natchitoches, La., died Friday, March 4, 2011, in Bay Medical Center in Panama City, Fla. She was a native of Flora, La. She was a secretary for Juvenile Probation and Parole Department. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She was a very loving mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Ludger LeVasseur; parents, Burton Longlois and Mary Ruth Williamson Longlois. She is survived by one daughter, Connie LeVasseur of Panama City, Fl.; two sons, Justin LeVasseur and wife Tandy of Richmond, Tx. and Johnny LeVasseur of Elm Grove, La.; grandchildren, Mason LeVasseur, Rylee LeVasseur, and Sonny LeVasseur; one sister, Barbara Dickson of Minden, La.; two brothers, Billy Showers and wife Frances of Dothan, Al. and Andy Showers and wife Dianne of Graceville, Fl. Pallbeaers will be Joe LeVasseur, Jason St. Germain, Sidney LeVasseur, Blake LeVasseur, Luke LeVasseur, and Morris Brossette.
