Thanks, Mary Lou, for letting us know. I recall Cecil as being a real nice guy and very fast! When we had tryouts for the track team in our sophomore year, he blew everyone away. I had not seen him since 1961, so what caused this 'early' passing/
Cecil was a very friendly guy and the type of person everyone liked him immediately upon meeting him. He was a friend of mine all the time we were in high school and he was always well respected by everyone. I wish his family the best. He will be missed by everyone. George E. Scott
I am so sorry to learn of Cecil’s passing. I was truly privileged to have been his classmate. My most sincere condolences to Cecil’s family. He was special.
I've thought about what I wanted to post and in the early hours this morning a line from a song popped up. A song called "ARMS" and the line from the song is "you put your arms around me and I'm home". I've felt that way when I see my kids/grandkids and hug them. What if we changed the words to: HE puts HIS arms around me and I'm home". I know that the "Lord put his arms around Cecil and brought him home". At some point in the future he will do the same for all of us. Cecil rest in peace. Kenneth
I too, had not seen Cecil very much, since our days at Northwestern. He was not only a wonderful classmate, but a great team mate. We played football & ran track together in high school, and ran track together at Northwestern. My deepest condolences to Kay and the rest of the family.
