James F. Mims

Services for James F. "Jimmy" Mims, 54, of Natchitoches will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21 at First United Methodist Church in Natchitoches with the Rev. James Poole and the Rev. Richard Taylor officiating.  Services are under the direction of Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home.

Mr. Mims died Sunday, Jan. 18, 1998, at his residence.

A native of Natchitoches, he was an agriculture and sciences teacher at St. Mary's and sponsored the Key Club, 4-H, Agriculture Club and many other school organizations.

He was a graduate of Louisiana State University and a member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity.  He was also a cattleman.

He is survived by his wife, Majorie Wise Mims of Natchitoches; a son, James F. Mims, Jr. of Lancaster, Penn.; a step-son, William H. Giddens Jr. of Dallas; a daughter, Jennifer Estelle Roquemore of Natchitoches; a step-daughter, Dawn Giddens of Natchitoches and his mother Dorothy Finke Mims of Natchitoches.

In lieu of flowers, the family reuests that memorials be made to First United Methodist Church of Natchitoches.
