Mary Beth Buckley Greeson, age 80, of Natchitoches, LA, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2011, at Natchitoches Regional Medical Center in Natchitoches, LA. Arrangements are being handled by Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, where the family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM Monday, April 25, 2011. The funeral service will be at Blanchard St. Denis Chapel at 2:00 PM Monday, April 25, 2011, with Rev. Doug deGraffenreid officiating. Interment will be at Memory Lawn Cemetery in Natchitoches, LA.

Mary Beth was born September 28, 1930 in Leesville, LA, to the late Joseph Buckley and the late Dessie Edwards Buckley. Mary Beth’s joy and pleasure were helping young people through her teaching. Her life’s vocation was an educator. She enjoyed dining, dancing, and for quieter moments, she enjoyed a good bridge game. She was a compassionate and loving lady, a great mother, and a good friend. She received her Master’s Degree from Northwestern State University. Mary Beth was a great person, and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Greeson; her parents, Joseph and Dessie Edwards Buckley; and two brothers, Marvin and Roy Buckley.

She is survived by two sons, James E Moreland and wife Cheryl of Homer, LA and Russell W Moreland and wife Cynthia of Yukon, OK; three grandchildren, Brent Moreland of Shreveport, LA, Timothy Moreland and wife Keri of Shreveport, LA, and Melissa Roden of El Reno, OK; four great grandchildren; two sisters, Carolyn Aldredge of Natchitoches, LA and Janet Radasinovich and husband Rade of Durant, OK and two brothers, Dick Buckley and wife Gwen of Texas and James E Buckley and wife Paula of Natchitoches, LA.

Pallbearers will be Brent Moreland, Joey Buckley, Jason Aldredge, Trevor Aldredge, Adam Zigler, and Rick Hargis. Honorary pallbearers will be Corwyn Aldredge, Jr. and Paul Flenegan.
