Reunion

Word is going around that our reunion will include several classes and when asked about it I don't know what to say.  Please post a note with any information that is available about the reunion.  Hope plans are going well.

Thanks!

Hi Rose,

Ken has withdrawn from the reunion due to a job opportuninty and passed the reunion baton to Martha Kay.  I've got to make contact with her to see if she wants to take the class website or if I'm going to continue to help as the website administrator but just to answer your question, no, it's not a multi-year reunion.  It will just be members of the 1961 class but includes those who were members of that class in the earlier NHS years 8th on including those who moved away and graduated elsewhere in '61 or possibly didn't graduate at all.  But, all will be classmates or former classmates of the 1961 NHS class.

It does not include members of other classes.  The 1960 NHS class did this and were reunited with many old friends and former classmates who were of our class but didn't actually graduate with us in 1960.  It was a wonderful reunion with a big factor being having included our former classmates.

Part of the confusion might be due to another class wanting to put on a ten year reunion of the 1960 through 1969 classes.  I did a survey and find very little interest in such.

Hope this explains it.

Hi, Bill,

Thanks so much for the information.  I will now know what to say if someone else asks.  I saw pictures of the 1960 class reunion and it was great to see everyone and know that they had such a good time and hopefully some of them will come to ours.  Good to know that Martha Kay accepted the role that Ken had to let go.  Ken did a good job with the get-together several years ago.  I wish him good luck on his job change and hope he is able to attend the reunion.

Thanks again!
